Dynamic Language Services Community Partners

Friends of Youth

Founder, Iva Matsen, started Friends of Youth in 1951 after she saw the lack of quality foster homes for at-risk youth. She decided action must be taken and thus, Friends of Youth was born. More than 60 years later, the list of donors, volunteers, friends and staff of Friends of Youth have grown exponentially and to this day they remain true to its founding principle: “an unwavering dedication to providing quality services; the flexibility to meet new and emerging needs; and most important, a commitment to securing the futures of the most vulnerable members of the community.”

Northwest Harvest

Northwest Harvest’s mission is “to provide nutritious food to hungry people statewide in a manner that respects their dignity while fighting to eliminate hunger.” They are the only nonprofit food bank distributor operating statewide in Washington. Northwest Harvest provides more than 1.7 million meals every month to their network of more than 350 food banks, meal programs, and high-need schools. They are committed to nutrition and healthy eating: 70 percent of their food is highly nutritious fruits and vegetables. Dynamic Language had more than 24 volunteers (including friends and family of employees) at our very first Harvest Volunteer Day. Their volunteer days are a great opportunity for our staff to get out there and help out!

Emergency Feeding Program

The Emergency Feeding Program provides “an emergency response to the nutritional needs of people in crisis hunger situations throughout Seattle and King County.”

The Emergency Feeding Program is open longer than most Food Banks and does not have any eligibility requirements. Their goal is to make food accessible when and where people need it most. They focus on providing food for the various different cultures around our area, offering 15 varieties of food, including Latino, Asian, Vegan, and East African varieties. They also provide food for those with health issues and diet restrictions or those with infants.

KCSARC

King County Sexual Assault Resource Center’s (KCSARC’s) purpose is to alleviate, as much as possible, the trauma of sexual assault for victims and their families. Their mission is to give voice to victims, their families, and the community; create change in beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors about violence; and instill courage for people to speak out about sexual assault.

KCSARC is on the front lines with victims and their families, ensuring that all people affected by sexual violence and abuse get the treatment they need and advocacy they deserve.

3R Technology

3R Technology partners with Homes of Hope and various nonprofits to bring technology to classrooms of children in need. Every year on Earth Day, Dynamic Language collects computers, laptops, phones, and TVs that are donated to 3R Technology to support their cause.
