According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of interpreters and translators is expected to grow by 46% from 2012 to 2022, which is far above the average projections for other careers.  As businesses globalize and adjust their products for new markets, translators are expected to be high in demand. Certified Translation Professional Designation Program

In the CTP Designation Program, students register for a self-paced, translation training online course and receive additional study materials such as videos, books, and guides. They receive become certified after taking a self-administered 3-hour online exam. Graduates of this program gain access to the CTP database, which has many opportunities for networking and employment.

Bellevue College

Bellevue College offers a Translation Certificate as well as an Interpretation Certificate. These programs are great for professionals who are pursuing translation or interpretation while still working. Most classes are offered at night or on the weekend, so translation certification typically takes 1 ½ or 2 years to complete. The certificates are language-specific, and include 5 core courses, such as well as 3 language-specific courses. This program is best-suited for students and professionals seeking to translate academic works.
