international tipsDon’t eat with your left hand in India.

Don’t stick your chopsticks into your food.

There certain things everyone knows not to do abroad. You may have preliminary knowledge of what to avoid, but would you be ready for a last-minute overseas social gathering or business meeting?

I posted a piece about international business etiquette recently, to show how important it is to be aware of different cultures when traveling. The following link brings you to a site-recently featured on Lifehacker — that gives even more traveling tips, specifically for travel to Europe and Asia.

Fasten Seat Belts calls itself a “light-hearted guide” for travelers who wish to avoid faux pas. The site includes short videos and commentary detailing what to do and what not to do in multiple countries. So whether you’re visiting Japan, France or Lithuania, you’ll be a little bit wiser as to what is rude, impolite and just plain wrong.

And you’ll hopefully gain a bit more knowledge of what to do correctly to impress all your international acquaintances. There’s nothing better than a good first impression!
