Many factors set Dynamic Language apart, including an unparalleled commitment to customer service and quick response times. To meet your needs as quickly and efficiently as possible, we’ve provided answers to our most frequently asked questions here.
What’s the difference between translation and localization?
Translation, put simply, converts written words from one language into another.
Localization uses many different strategies and tools to adapt your content’s full meaning for another culture and language. Localization is more than just translating text, it is changing day/time formats, currencies and more so the user feels like the content was created just for them in their language.
Can Dynamic Language scale to support our needs?
Yes! Because we recognize that the need to scale is integral to global growth, Dynamic Language maintains strategic resources so that we’re ready when you are.
From extensive cross-training among our teams to our pool of highly trained, on-demand linguists, our services are positioned to be completely scalable when it’s time for your business to grow.
In the translation industry, it’s standard to charge minimums. For small projects, it’s not profitable for translators or agencies to charge using a per word calculation method. Dynamic Language, however, believes in creativity and flexibility and we have solutions that can help avoid minimum charges like cumulative monthly billing for projects like labeling and packaging.
For a one-off project, a minimum charge can be applied, and varies by language.
What are your payment options?
Dynamic Language strives to be as flexible as possible when it comes to payment. We accept the following payment methods:
Procurement systems (We are happy to work directly with your internal procurement system.)
Credit card (Visa, MasterCard and American Express)
How are project turnaround times determined?
Project turnaround times are determined by the word count and subject matter. If a document has dense copywriting and is very technical, the turnaround time will take longer.
Which industries do you support?
For over 30 years, we have worked with a wide range of clients across many industries, such as aerospace, education, legal, healthcare, IT and marketing. We provide language services to companies ranging from small businesses to Fortune 100 corporations.
Our comprehensive language services can adapt your content into over 200 languages. We also support accessibility by offering American Sign Language (ASL) and Braille. If you have a question about a specific language or set of languages, please contact us.
What’s the difference between subtitling and captioning?
These two terms are often used interchangeably but are different in a practical sense. Captions (such as closed-captioning) are meant for viewers who cannot hear the audio in a video, while subtitles are designed for viewers who can hear, but don’t understand the language being spoken in video or other content.

Do you have interpreters and translators in-house?
We do not. All of our interpreters and translators are independent contractors and are located in locales around the world.
Do you offer “certified” translations?
Yes. Upon request, we can offer translations with a “Certificate of Authenticity and Accuracy” which authenticates the document for legal use. Our certified translation services are always performed by one of our highly-trained certified translators.
What is ISO certification and how does it add value to your services?
ISO 9001:2015 is the internationally recognized standard for quality management that prescribes systematic control of processes to ensure that customer needs and expectations are met.
Our ISO 9001 Certification was awarded in September 2012 and has been maintained ever since. We also have certifications for ISO 17100, and ISO 27001.
